What to sing in karaoke #6: Pop songs for Mezzo-soprano voice

"What to sing in karaoke" - are series of articles where I'm posting great songs to sing in karaoke for each voice type and each musical genre.

For preparing songs lists for these series of articles I'm using singingcarrots.com - a database of songs that allows you to find songs based on your vocal range.

Mezzo-soprano is arguably the most common yet beautiful female voice. The vocal range definition starts at A3 (A below the middle C) and finishes at A5. Some people with this type of voice of course might have wider extensions and can sing even higher than A5 or sometimes are able to pick the pitch below A3. This article will focus on the songs that all reside within A3-A5 interval.

To make it simpler for people who's voice does not cover 2 octaves yet, I've grouped the songs in this compilation into 2 sub-categories by the width of the songs range. Challenging - the songs that cover full 2 octaves and maybe touch the extension a bit, and Good - songs that need mostly not more than 1,5 octave and do not go higher than F5.
